Clinical Massage is the application of specialized massage techniques to address soft tissue pain and distortions. Techniques are applied with intention to release not only the musculature involved, but the fascia around it.
Edge: maximizing pressure used to address musculature without meeting any resistance from the body. My goal is to work alongside your nervous system to allow your body to fully accept the benefits of bodywork, rather than fight against your body's natural state.
Structural integration aims to restore balance within the body. When there is imbalance due to injury or lifestyle patterns, musculature starts to overwork in order to keep the harmony. Sometimes, this causes pain in seemingly unrelated areas. Working with structural foundations gives not only intention, but purposes to identify root causes of chronic or recurring pain to deliver results that last.
I am a certified neuromuscular practitioner by The Florida School of Advanced Bodywork. Neuromuscular Therapy is largely a compression based technique aimed at releasing musculature and breaking up adhesions. By working the superficial layers of fascia, to the tendinous attachments, and the muscle belly itself, true neuromuscular techniques aims to release specific musculature in a comprehensive and efficient manner.
Soft tissue pain can be multifactorial, but manual therapies such as clinical and structural bodywork can provide significant relief. Some of the conditions I am qualified to treat include:
Low Back Pain, Disc Degenerative Disease (DDD)
Chronic Migraines, Whiplash Injuries, Sporadic Tinnitus
Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD)
Rotator Cuff Injuries, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
Forward Head Posture, Neck/Shoulder Pain
Sciatica, Plantars Fasciitis, Knee Pain, Elbow Pain
